A Superior 2017 Florida State Thespian Festival in Tampa
IRCHS Theatre's mainstage production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest received a superior rating, The "individual event" First Communion received the Critic's Choice Award, and all other IE's received "Excellent" and "Superior" ratings. Success at State Thespian Festival

receives a SUPERIOR rating at the Florida Thespians State Festival.

IRCHS Theatre Earns Multiple Awards at District One Acts
The IRCHS Theatre Department traveled to Seminole Ridge High School for the Florida Thespian District One Act Competition this past Saturday. Due to past date conflicts and repeated Mainstage performances, IRCHS Theatre has not participated in this competition for three years. The theatre troupe presented the one act I Am Not Batman, written by Marco Ramirez, combined with I Am Wonder Woman, written by IRCHS alumni Cheyenne Dong. The play's production team consisted of Michael Naffziger (director), Michael Darby (assistant director) and Sophie Siegel (stage manager). Branden Haffield, a senior drummer of the IRCHS Wolves, accompanied the play as well as twenty other students who assembled the set, designed by Alan Darby and Cat Faust, on stage in under five minutes. The play and it's performers earned the following awards:
